Medicine of the Rose
Rosa damascena has accompanied human life across regions and centuries, present in ritual, in seasonal preparations, and in the rhythms of the body. With a particular affinity for the heart, it has been used to soothe, regulate, and restore.
This workshop offers a focused study of the rose through the lens of herbal practice.
We will explore:
• its energetics and qualities
• its core medicinal actions
• traditional uses across regions
• its place within Islamic botanical and medical traditions
• methods of preparation, including waters, infused oils, honeys, and vinegars
Saturday May 16th, 6:30-8PM
