Join Booker-shortlisted author Avni Doshi as she weaves together multiple myths of the Hindu Goddess in this special evening gathering.

The myths unfold into a cosmological vision in which the divine feminine is enshrined within the earth, and the power of eros is alive in the fragrance of flowers and the buzzing of bees.

After the story, Avni will offer writing prompts for integration and then open the space up for shared reflection.

Avni Doshi is a novelist. Her first book, Burnt Sugar, was a finalist for the Booker Prize, the PEN/Hemingway award and was longlisted for the Women’s Prize in Fiction. It was named a Book of the Year by The New York Times, Guardian, Economist, Spectator and NPR, and is published in 26 languages. Her second novel, The First House, will be published July 2026. She is currently working on her third book, Likeness. Her other writing has appeared in British Vogue, Granta, The Sunday Times, The Erotic Review and elsewhere. Avni has a BA and Masters in the history of art. She is a student of symbols, dreams, astrology and myth.

Tickets for our workshops and community events are non-refundable.

Each gathering requires advance planning and upfront costs, including preparation, materials and facilitator fees, which are confirmed ahead of time based on the number of registered participants. For this reason, once a ticket has been purchased, we’re unable to offer refunds.

If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else by letting us know in advance, subject to capacity and any workshop-specific requirements.
